EIKEVEI is a Norwegian design project created by Olga Dudygina. The postcards are inspired by Nordic nature — animals, birds and landscapes — and printed on real wood veneer, where the natural grain of the wood makes every card unique.
Postcards
Helvete Naturpark Collection
This collection was created specifically for Helvete Naturpark in Espedalen — a unique natural site in Norway that is home to Northern Europe’s largest potholes (“jettegryter”), formed around ten thousand years ago. The designs play with the name Helvete, which literally means “hell” in Norwegian. The dramatic landscape of deep, steep potholes may well explain how the place got its name, while the postcards introduce Nordic animals in humorous scenes inspired by the place and its striking character.
Designs 2026
This collection explores Nordic animal characters and the small stories they can tell about human behaviour. Through a series of humorous scenes, familiar animals become mirrors of everyday emotions and habits: a white rabbit struggling with anger management, a lynx confronted with the sign “Out of stock”, a reflection on our culture of endless consumption. In “Stay grounded” — a cliché of lifestyle advice — here taken literally, with electrifying consequences. A white rabbit standing in melting snow patches insists on “Winter forever” — a desperate denial of a changing climate. The characters balance between humour and reflection, inviting the viewer to recognise something of themselves in the animals.
White rabbit - "Working on my anger management"
Lynx & mouse - "OUT OF STOCK"
Bat - "Stay grounded"
White rabbit - "Winter Forever!"
Magpie – "Time thief" ("Tidstyv")
Veneer
EIKEVEI postcards are printed on real birch veneer. Birch has long traditions in Nordic craftsmanship and is known for its light, warm surface. The natural grain of the wood makes every card unique and gives the surface a lively, tactile character.
